A Mothers Day Poem – Dear Mumma

on

An ode to her sacrifices and patience. 🪬

Whenever I try to write about her,
I feel the bounds of my paper
are too limited to hold her entirety,
For I am but a fraction of her finality.

How to define the woman who defined me,
the very source of my life, my entity?
I am but a reflection of her hopes and dreams,
a living testimony to the love she deems.

To restrict her essence to mere lines,
is like caging a bird who’s meant to fly;
For she is beyond definition or measurement,
simply put, she’s a wondrous testament.

A living, breathing poem in motion,
capable of emotions beyond human notion;
She bestowed upon me her very life,
and in my heart, she’ll forever thrive.

Love you Mumma
